What does the strength imbalance score mean?Updated 2 months ago
The Strength Imbalance Score compares the strength of the front-side muscles (used for acceleration) to the back-side muscles (responsible for deceleration and stability).
Ideally, these muscle groups should be balanced, with a ratio close to 1.0. Significant imbalances may lead to:
Increased risk of injury
Inefficient throwing mechanics
Poor recovery after high-intensity throwing
But don’t panic—a flagged imbalance doesn’t always mean you need to stop throwing. If you’re not experiencing pain or performance issues, it’s safe to continue playing while keeping a close eye on your scores.
Avoid high-intent velocity or overload training until the imbalance is corrected. The ArmCare App will guide you with targeted exercises in the Custom Strength Program to restore balance and improve arm durability.
