What is ArmScore? What is considered a “good” Arm Score?Updated 3 months ago
The Arm Score is a measure of your total throwing arm strength relative to your body weight, providing a simple way to evaluate arm health and durability. It is calculated by summing the strength of the key muscle groups for throwing and expressing it as a percentage of body weight.
A good Arm Score is 70 or higher, which indicates a well-conditioned arm that can better handle the demands of throwing.
Players should strive for an Arm Score over 100, which indicates exceptional arm strength and a greater ability to sustain high-intensity throwing, recover faster, and maintain velocity deep into games.
Stronger arms are harder to break—players with higher Arm Scores are better equipped to handle workload increases, recover faster, and maintain performance throughout a season.
If your Arm Score is below 70, it suggests an opportunity to build more strength before progressing into high-intensity throwing programs.
