What is ArmScore? What is considered a “good” Arm Score?Updated 3 months ago

The Arm Score is a measure of your total throwing arm strength relative to your body weight, providing a simple way to evaluate arm health and durability. It is calculated by summing the strength of the key muscle groups for throwing and expressing it as a percentage of body weight.

  • A good Arm Score is 70 or higher, which indicates a well-conditioned arm that can better handle the demands of throwing.

  • Players should strive for an Arm Score over 100, which indicates exceptional arm strength and a greater ability to sustain high-intensity throwing, recover faster, and maintain velocity deep into games.

  • Stronger arms are harder to break—players with higher Arm Scores are better equipped to handle workload increases, recover faster, and maintain performance throughout a season.

  • If your Arm Score is below 70, it suggests an opportunity to build more strength before progressing into high-intensity throwing programs.
