What is SVR? What’s a good SVR?Updated 2 months ago

Strength-to-Velocity Ratio (SVR) is another key performance metric that represents how efficiently your strength translates into throwing velocity.

  • The ideal SVR target is 1.6 pounds per mph of throwing velocity.

  • If your SVR is too low, it may indicate an imbalance where velocity gains are outpacing strength development, increasing stress on passive tissues like ligaments and tendons.

  • If your SVR is too high, it may suggest that your arm is strong but not fully utilizing its strength to generate velocity, indicating a potential mechanical or coordination issue.
