How should I adjust my throwing workload based on my ArmCare scores?Updated 2 months ago

The ArmCare App uses a color-coded system to guide your throwing decisions:

General Adjustments:

  • Green (Normal): Proceed with your planned throwing session.

  • Yellow (Watch Alert): Reduce throwing workload by ~30% and monitor recovery.

  • Red (Warning Alert): Skip high-intensity throwing. Focus on arm care and recovery work instead.

Adjustments by Role:

Starting Pitchers

  • 7-day rotation: Spread workload across bullpen and game days with at least one fresh and post-exam per week.

  • 5-day rotation: Use more frequent fresh/post-exams to manage shorter recovery windows and avoid cumulative fatigue.

Relievers

  • If a reliever hasn’t pitched in 72 hours, complete a 10-pitch bullpen to stay game-ready.

  • If a post-exam shows fatigue, skip throwing and focus on recovery strategies.

Smart adjustments based on your scores will help you throw harder, last longer, and avoid injury.
