What are the ArmCare Key Metrics?Updated 2 months ago

ArmCare measures several key performance metrics to assess arm health.  

Key Metric Alerts: Warnings and Medical alerts for Recovery, Fatigue, or ROM (Range of Motion) metrics should prompt players to stop throwing.

Strength:

  • ArmScore: Your overall arm strength, factored for your size and weight, combining the strength of your entire arm into one easy-to-understand score.
    • Goal: Aim for an ArmScore over 70.
  • Strength Velocity Ratio (SVR): Shows the relationship between arm strength and maximum throwing velocity.

    • Goal: Aim for 1.6.

  • Shoulder Balance: Measures the balance between front-side and back-side shoulder muscles.

Fatigue:

  • Fatigue Score: Measures the change in total arm strength post-pitching as a percentage of total arm strength from the fresh exam.

Recovery:

  • Recovery Score: Measures the change in total arm strength from one fresh exam to another fresh exam.
